Dear parents and carers,
We started this third week of term with our Prayer and Liturgy Assembly on Monday when we focused on the new saint CARLO ACUTIS who was canonised by Pope Leo on the 7th September at the Vatican.
As this was National CODING WEEK, throughout the week children had extra sessions to work on this aspect of computing and learn how to input instructions to form a simple computer programme. On Thursday it was good to meet with all our Year 6 parents who attended the Secondary school transition meeting. This is something all children and their families have to think about as it is such an important milestone in the children’s educational journey.
Today Class 3C led our Friday class assembly in which they shared aspects of their recent learning including the School’s mission statement, the Catholic Social teaching principle they are focusing and their writing on making the world a better place. We now look forward to next week when we will continue with our learning in the various curriculum areas but we will also start our FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT to learn more and find new ways how we can continue to support this important cause.
Please also note that we are having our annual FRENCH DAY on Wednesday and children can come in wearing French colours and contribute £1 that will go to one of the charities we support.
Thank you and have a good weekend!
