Anti-Bullying Week & more…

Dear parents and carers,

We have now started the second part of the Autumn Term. Children are now working on their new topics for this half term. Topic overviews were sent to parents on Wednesday although you can also access these on our school website to be able to have a clear idea of what your child is learning about and how you can support them at home.

This week children in Class 6M took part in a series of workshops led by INTO University organisation to think about their future studies and careers and looked at some big role models for inspiration. They also visit ed the Science Museum on Tuesday as part of this special week.

We also had our weekly Worship Liturgy on Monday and Good news assemblies on Thursday. Today Class 4G led our Friday assembly. They celebrated the Catholic Social Teaching theme of Solidarity through their presentation. They also demonstrated a Science investigation on how sound travels.

We now look forward to next week which is yet another special week as we will be marking ANTI BULLYING WEEK. Please note that we’re asking children to come to school wearing odd socks on Monday to support this cause. On Wednesday, we will also have the school photographer in to take pictures of all classes as well as individual children. It is important that all children come in their full school uniform as outlined in our uniform policy.

Thank you and have a good weekend.

Online Safety

The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.

The ThinkuKnow website is really helpful and aims to make online parenting simple and offers many practical tips and simple guidance.
