French Day and more…

Dear parents and carers,

This week was the first week of FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT. Children attended special assemblies on Monday and Friday to find out more and discuss the importance of supporting farmers who produce our food and to make sure they receive a fair wage for their hard work. On Monday we gathered for our Prayer and Worship assembly. This is always a very important gathering when everyone comes together to reflect on the Sunday Gospel message, pray and worship.

On Wednesday we had our FRENCH DAY. Children came to school in French colours, Red, White and Blue and had special sessions about the French language and traditions. On the same day, a group of worship leaders joined me and attended the beginning of year mass at Southwark Cathedral. They represented the school in a very mature way and will be  sharing their experience with the whole school next week.

Today was a very special day. We started the day with our Friday Class assembly in Building 1 in which Class 6T told us about a number of themes they have been learning about since the beginning of term.

Today we also marked Teaching Assistants day which serves as a reminder of the crucial role teaching assistants play in our schools. We recognise the tireless efforts, patience, and expertise that go into helping students to make good or better progress.

Thank you and have a good weekend!

Online Safety

The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.

The ThinkuKnow website is really helpful and aims to make online parenting simple and offers many practical tips and simple guidance.
