Dear parents and carers,
Our first full week this term has been something of a busy one at English Martyrs’. Children have continued to settle in their various classes and they have moved on further in their lessons and delved deeper in their new topics in our Autumn Term Curriculum. On Monday we have also welcomed new pupils in our Nursery and Reception Classes.
We started the week with our first Liturgy and Worship of this year which focused on or school’s Core Values and the lives of Carlo Acutis and Piergiorgio Frasssati who were both formally declared saints by Pope Leo on Sunday 7th September.
It was wonderful to see such large number of parents attending the ‘Meet the Teacher’ meetings on Wednesday and Thursday. I hope that now everyone has a better understanding of school routines and expectations as well as what your children are going to be learning about this term.
Next week we’ll be starting our after school Activity Clubs. There are 13 clubs for different groups of children throughout the week. Parents will need to remember to collect children on time at 4.15 pm.
