This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. Both these men were Apostles who met with Jesus and were given authority to build the Church on earth.
Jesus established His Church as a reminder of God’s love for all people – that includes you and me too. In the Gospel this week, Jesus asks the disciples – “Who do you say I am?” Peter realises the truth about Jesus and professes his faith in Him as the Christ – the Son of the living God. Jesus then gives Peter the important task of leading the Church.
