This week all our children had a busy week working through the Summer term Assessments. These are test papers for Reading, Spelling and Grammar and Mathematics that will show how much progress they have made so far this year.
In the coming weeks, class teachers will then prepare End of Year reports with more detailed information about attainment and progress in the various areas of the curriculum.
This week we also marked REFUGEE WEEK. Children reflected on what it means to have to leave your country of birth and the challenges migrants face as they try to settle in a new country.
We also had three classes that went on educational trips this week. On Wednesday, both Year 4 classes visited the London Zoo to find out more about animals and their habitats while on Thursday, Class 5E went to the Maritime Museum in Greenwich to deepen their learning about Space where they watched a planetarium show about the Solar System.
Today the same class 5E led our Friday class assembly in which they did a role play based on the High Rise Mystery from English and recapped the importance of Hajj from our other faiths unit. Thank you and have a good weekend.
