Mental Health Awareness week

Dear parents and carers,

It’s been a shorter week than usual but it has been equally busy with so many things taking place every day. Activities this week included the Rosary prayer we took part virtually on Zoom which was led by Archbishop John on Tuesday, Year 3’s trip to the Royal Festival hall, attending mass in the Parish church for the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord on Thursday and 2J’s Class assembly today.

We now look forward for next week which is Mental Health Awareness week. All children will be learning about the importance of staying healthy in mind and body and ways how to deal with difficulties when they arise from time to time. It will also be a special week for all our Year 6 pupils who will be sitting their End of Key Stage 2 tests.

Tomorrow, Saturday 11th May, Fr Tom Udie, our parish priest will be celebrating the 40th anniversary from his ordination. There is a special mass at 10 am to which everyone is invited. This will be followed by a get together in the school hall.

Thank you and have a good weekend.

Online Safety

The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.

The ThinkuKnow website is really helpful and aims to make online parenting simple and offers many practical tips and simple guidance.
