Dear parents and carers,
Our week started with our worship celebration on Monday when we focused on the YEAR OF PRAYER and how important this aspect of Christian life is for us all. This week we also marked REFUGEE WEEK. Children reflected on what it means to have to leave your country of birth and the challenges migrants face as they try to settle in a new country.
On Tuesday one or our Year 6 classes took part in the pilgrimage trip to Aylesford Priory where they took part in celebrations led by Mission Together On Thursday five classes had their third session of Cricket coaching and on Friday Class 4G led our assembly in which they shared with children and parents different themes from what they are learning about this term.
We now look forward to next week which is our Summer Term Assessment week. Children will be working on formal assessment tests to show how much progress they have made so far this year. There are also a number of trips planned for different classes. Letters with more information have been sent to parents this week.
On a final note, we are being told that we are expecting hot weather for the first three days of next week. Everyone is reminded of the need to drink water to stay hydrated and to try to stay in cool places and in the shade particularly vulnerable people, children and the elderly.
Thank you and have a good weekend.
