Dear parents and carers,
This week all our children had a busy week working through the Summer term Assessments. These are test papers for Reading, Spelling and Grammar and Mathematics that will show how much
progress they have made so far this year.
Following their hard work for SATs tests, our Year 6 children enjoyed their treat at the BMX track in Burgess Park where they were introduced to, or improved their cycling and balancing skills. Another interesting activity this week was the visit to Notre Dame Secondary school for our Year 5 girls. They met with staff and Year 10 girls and took part in Drama and Spanish workshops.
On Thursday we celebrated our GOOD NEWS assembly which among other things included celebrating the results for Phonics screening (85%) and the score for the Year 4 multiplication check
(Average score 21/25). A big well done goes to all our Year 1 and Year 4 children who worked so hard to achieve such fantastic results.
Today children in our Reception class led our Friday class assembly. This was their first time doing this for children and parents who thoroughly enjoyed the presentation.
Thank you and have a good weekend.
