Dear parents and carers,
This has been a very important week for our Year 1 pupils who have now all completed their phonics screening check as well as for our Year 4 children who this week have all been online to complete the Multiplication Tables Check. More children will be working on assessments tasks in the coming weeks for the formal Summer Term Assessment.
Other events this week were the special assemblies on the CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING on Monday. These were led by a representative from CAFOD and we now hope that we can continue to build on this to make sure our pupils all understand key themes such as Solidarity, Human dignity and others.
On Tuesday we then had our special assembly to mark ENVIRONMENT DAY and we all decided to turn lights off for the rest of the day to show we want to do our bit
for the environment. Today Class 1L led our Friday assembly in which they told us about what they have been learning about in recent weeks.
We now look forward for next week. We will be focusing on other themes including REFUGEE WEEK and continue to prepare for Assessment week which is the following week.
Thank you and have a good weekend. We naturally wish all dads in our school community a happy Fathers’ Day on Sunday.
