Weekly Roundup – Final Performances

Posted on July 14, 2023

Dear parents and carers,

This is the last school newsletter for this school year. Our Summer term comes to and end for children on Thursday 20th July. It has been a busy year and our children have had a full year of good learning and continued to make sustained progress.

This last week was another special week in many ways. The week started with our collective worship when we reflected on the need to turn to Jesus also when we feel troubled or burdened. This was followed by Sports Days on Wednesday for Years 1 to 6 and then on Thursday for Early Years.

Today, we also enjoyed a performance put together by the Children in the Drama Club. Next week we will be saying farewell to our Year 6 children, most of whom have been with us for 8 years. They will soon be moving to the next phase of their education in Secondary school. We wish them all the best. Parents are invited to their final performance on Wednesday and the Mass in church on Thursday.

We will then have a few weeks of holidays. We hope that everyone will be able to enjoy their holidays doing something different within their family and with friends. As shown on the 2023-24 Term dates calendar we published a few weeks ago, children will return to school on Wednesday 6th September.

Thank you and have a good Summer break.

Online Safety

The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.

The ThinkuKnow website is really helpful and aims to make online parenting simple and offers many practical tips and simple guidance.
