Our main focus this week was to learn about the dangers and pitfalls of BULLYING. To mark Anti-Bullying week children took part in a range of activities including coming in Odd Socks on Monday and learning about this year’s theme ‘Make a noise’ at assemblies as well as in class.
On Monday we gathered for our worship which focused on the Sunday Mass readings theme of WISDOM. Children reflected about the gift of wisdom which helps us make the right choices and then do our best to work towards them.
On Tuesday we had another interesting workshop for parents on ‘Reading together’. On Wednesday we welcomed the school photographer for individual and class photos. On the same day all Key Stage 2 children took part in an interesting assembly to learn about the dangers of choking. This was presented by Ms Lell Hawney rom the Mini First Aid.
On Thursday we had our Good News assembly during which children from different classes received their certificates for their achievements over these last days and we also said farewell to Ms Elizabeth who is leaving us this week after working at our school for a number of years. Today Class 2J led our class assembly in which they told us about their wonderful work and activities they enjoyed over recent days.
Thank you and have a good weekend.
