Dear parents and carers,
This week was a special one for all children as it was our end of Spring term assessment week. Children sat written assessment tasks for Reading, Writing and Maths. This is one of the ways how teachers gather information about how much progress children have made since the beginning of this term in January. Next week parents will be able to book 10 minute slots for Termly Learning Conferences planned for the following week when they can meet with class teachers to discuss progress and targets for next term.
Other notable activities this week were our worship and prayer assemblies on Monday. All children also took part in a presentation by a representative of the Charity THE PASSAGE which supports homeless people in London.
Our Friday assembly today was led by Class 4J. Children talked about so many interesting areas of their learning this term including reflections on the Season of Lent, Catholic Social Teaching and the Ancient Egyptians. Well done 4J!
We now look forward to next week when among other things we’ll be having another Jubilee Year activity for our Year 2 children who will be going on a pilgrimage to St George’s cathedral.
Thank you and have a good weekend.
