This week started with our prayer and liturgy assemblies when we focused on the liturgy readings of the second Sunday of lent, reflecting on the event of the Transfiguration of Christ and the key words, ‘This is my Son, listen to him’. On the same day, all our Year 3 pupils visited Kew Gardens and took parts in workshops to find out more about plants.
On Tuesday the whole school gathered for our Lent Mass at English Martyrs Parish Church and on Wednesday all Key Stage 2 children took part in a special Assembly on FAIRTRADE. This is something our school is strongly supporting to make sure we are doing our bit to help farmers get their fair share of income for their hard work.
Today Class 1L led our Friday Class assembly and they told us about so many aspects of their learning in recent weeks. Next week will be a very busy week as we have a whole range of activities planned for Book Week but all children will also be working on their Spring Term assessment tests. On Thursday we’re inviting all children to come to school wearing clothes or costume that reminds them of a book character they have read.
Thank you.
Have a good weekend.
