Dear parents and carers,
We have now started the last full term of this school year. We hope that everyone has had a good Easter break and that all children are now ready for more exciting learning during this Summer Term. Following the training day for staff on Monday we had a four day week for children during which classes started new topics in the various areas of the curriculum.
On Thursday, Year 5 and Year 6 children took part in a very interested presentation by a local policeman on the theme of online safety. Today both Year 4 classes visited the British Museum. I’m sure this was an exciting opportunity for them to find out more and learn about one of their recent topics – Ancient Egypt.
Today we are also sending out offer letters for after school activity clubs for the Summer Term. There are a range of clubs including computing, sports, arts and crafts and others. Places were allocated on a first come first serve basis so some children are on the waiting list. Those who have been offered a place are asked to settle the £10 contribution for the term on Parent Pay.
Thank you and a good weekend.
