Dear parents and carers,
Our week started with our Prayer and Worship gatherings when we reflected on the Sunday Mass readings. We also started a serious of reflections on the Catholic Social Teaching, focusing one the first theme of Human Dignity. The highlight of the week was on Wednesday when children from different year groups took part in an Enterprise Club activity making and selling Fairtrade Cookies. As it was such big success we’ll be repeating this activity at least every half term but we’ll continue to find other ways how to promote FAIRTRADE goods as well as our newly formed Enterprise Club.
A big thank you goes to the staff who organised this and together with our children produces a range of different flavoured cookies that were sold out in a short space of time. Another big thank you goes to all the parents and others who came in to support this initiative by buying cookies for their families. (See page 4 of this newsletters for some images of this Enterprise activity).
On Thursday we had our Good News assembly during which children from different classes received their certificates for their achievements over these last days. Today Class 2E led our class assembly in which they told us about their wonderful topics they are currently learning about including making car models in DT, learning about different animals and their offsprings in Science, the story of the Resurrection of Jesus in RE and much more.
