What a week!

Posted on 4 Jul at 10:56 am

Dear parents and carers,

We are now in the final stretch of this term and the 2024-25 school year. Much has happened this year but there are still a lot more to do before we break up for the Summer.

On Wednesday, our Year 3 children went on a pilgrimage to St George’s cathedral. This was part of our celebrations for the Jubilee Year of Hope. Today our Class 3M children led our Friday class assembly. They told us about many things they have been learning about including their work about the human skeleton in science, their learning about Ancient Egypt and they also shared some examples of fantastic writing based on their current text.

Next week we will be sending the End of Year reports to parents. These important documents give you information about your child’s attainment and progress this year as well as targets for next year. If you would like to meet with the class teacher to discuss the contents of the report please contact the school office for an appointment.

We are now looking forward for next week when we have our Sports Days on Tuesday (Years 1 to 6) and then on Wednesday 9th July (Nursery and Reception Children). This will take part in Burgess Park and we also look forward to see many parents there to
support the children.

Thank you and have a good weekend!

Online Safety

The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.

The ThinkuKnow website is really helpful and aims to make online parenting simple and offers many practical tips and simple guidance.
