Dear parents and carers,
The week was packed with activities for all children to mark Book Week. On Monday, all classes attended assemblies or workshops led by our guest author Tola Okogwu. On
Thursday then, World Book day, all children came to school in character costumes. I am sure all this has inspired all our pupils to enjoy their reading even more.
On Wednesday we celebrated ASH WEDNESDAY by attending mass in church during which we all received the ashes that remind us of God’s invitation to use this time of lent to Repent and believe the Gospel.
Today year 3M led our Friday assembly which among other things included a focus on the Lenten period, which they illustrated through a short play. They shared their class’s lent focus and challenged every class to do the same.
We now look forward to next week which will have a SCIENCE focus. There are a number of activities planned for children including sessions in class and workshops and presentations on Friday.
Thank you and have a good weekend.
