This has been a very important week for our Year 1 pupils who have now all completed their phonics screening check as well as for our Year 4 children who this week have all been online to complete the Multiplication Tables Check.
More children will be working on assessment tasks in the coming weeks for the formal Summer Term Assessment.
A big event this week was the special day on the CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING on Thursday. This was led and coordinated by visitors from RISE Theatre who worked with children throughout the day to help them understand key themes such as Solidarity, Human dignity and others.
We now look forward for next week. Apart from working on their assessment tasks, children will also be reflecting on other themes including REFUGEE WEEK and the challenges such people face when they move to new countries. Year 4 and Year 5 children will also be going out on educational trips on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Thank you and have a good weekend.
