Dear parents and carers.
Although a four day week, this week has been such an eventful one for our children in school. Apart from their lessons in class we all gathered to think about Pope Francis who passed away a few days ago and then learn about the process of how a new Pope is elected.
We naturally all shared the joy of the news of the election of Pope Leo XIV as the new leader of the Catholic church. We pray for him that God will always guide him in guiding the church as a true
shepherd of all Catholics.
Other activities this week included the celebration of VE Day which was on Thursday 8th May. As we are now in May, we also reflected on Mary our Mother and gathered to pray the Holy Rosary.
Next week we will be marking MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK. It is also a very special week for our year 6 pupils who will be sitting their End of Key Stage 2 tests throughout the week.
