This week has been a particularly busy one for our Year 6 children who have been sitting their KS2 SATs tests.
They took these tests very seriously and worked hard to complete and answer as many questions as they could in the different test papers. They will now continue to work towards achieving their writing targets. Throughout the week all children across the school have been learning about Mental Health Awareness, particularly on this year’s theme ‘Community’. They reflected about ways in which we can work together at school, in our families and the wider com munity to make sure we are strong and healthy in mind and body.
Our week came to an end today with other important activities including our Friday assembly led by Class 2E in which they told us about the Great Fire of London, their diary entries in writing, learning about animals and their young as well as what they have been learning in RE, particularly the story of Jesus appearing to his apostles while fishing.
Next week we look forward to our final week of this Summer 1 half term . It will also be a week with a special focus on ART which we know our pupils love. Our chosen theme for this year is the JUBILEE YEAR and the virtue of HOPE.
Thank you and have a good weekend!
