Dear parents and carers,
This final week of Summer 1 started with our whole school collective worship when we reflected on the message in last Sunday’s Gospel reading about Jesus’ New commandment of love and the
Easter Season in general.
As we are in the month of May, we also gathered for the Rosary prayer in the mornings. It was lovely to see children using our new prayer garden to pray the Rosary there for the first time. This week was also our ART WEEK. Children in all year groups worked on art projects using different media and skills they learned about in their art lessons to create displays for different places across the school buildings. As we are currently in the Jubilee Year we chose themes related to PILGRIMAGES and HOPE, the key themes of this Jubilee Year.
Today Class 5T led our Friday class assembly which included sharing facts about the Benin people, how they worshiped, who their Gods were and what they traded in. The children also informed
the audience about the risen Jesus.
We are now ready for our Half term break. We’ll meet again on Monday 2nd June for the last few weeks of this school year – Summer Term 2.
Thank you and have a good half term week!
