Internet Safety Day

Posted on 14 Feb at 11:41 am

Dear parents and carers,

So many things happened in this final week of Spring term 1! It was a very special week for our Year 6 pupils who went on the Residential trip to Grosvenor Hall in Ashford from Wednesday to Friday.

It was an exciting adventure for all which included among other things, activities such as Aeroball, Abseiling, Fencing and much more. I am told that not only did they enjoy themselves but they also showed they’re maturing by being supportive towards each other and improved their ability to work as part of a team. This was an experience that they will never forget!

Apart from our regular assemblies and worship times, this week children also learned about staying safe online when on Tuesday we marked Safer Internet Day. On Thursday then, a group of 18 children from different year groups took part in a sports event at Docklands. They enjoyed their Yoga, dance and volleyball workshops.

A big well done also goes to Class 5E who led our Friday Assembly today. They gave us a very detailed presentation on the significance of the Jubilee Year 2025 and their work and learning on their current topic – FAIRTRADE.

We now look forward for the half term break next week and we’ll then be back in school on Monday 24th February.

Thank you.
Have a good half term break

Online Safety

The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.

The ThinkuKnow website is really helpful and aims to make online parenting simple and offers many practical tips and simple guidance.
